AP Kawasaki triple threat riders

With much attention focused on the BSB feeder classes for the coming season, AP Kawasaki have announced their new line up. Following a visit to the recent Carole Nash International Motorcycle Show at Birmingham’s NEC, Team Manager Alan Greig confirmed their ambitious plans.
Dakota doesn’t want or expect to be Randy Mamola. Someone already did that. Motorcycle racing continues to produce intriguing stories – not least in the area of family fun and family values. This week a 15 year old who loves school and is fluent in four languages announces that he is joining the community of professional racers – as well as keeping up with his school work, at which he is extremely good.

Dunlop to sponsor GSX-R Trophy

Dunlop has been announced as the title sponsor of the ACU Suzuki GSX-R Trophy. The leading tyre manufacturer has set up a one year deal with the ACU to become the title sponsor for the championship. The championship, which runs from March to October, is designed to allow people to race at a high level on a limited budget. It is open to any level of rider and is both competitive and great fun.

GNS Racing to reveal testing plans

Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport Championship Team GNS Racing will be making a guest appearance at the Portsmouth Motorcycles open weekend next weekend (February 12th to 14th) where fans can come along and meet the riders Sam Lowes and Paul Jordan, on the Saturday and Sunday, plus see the bikes they will be racing in the 2010 championship.

Jennie Gow to replace Suzi Perry for MotoGP

Sports presenter Jennie Gow is today announced as the new presenter of the BBC's MotoGP coverage. She will join the team of Charlie Cox, Steve Parrish and Matt Roberts for the first race of the 2010 season on 11 April with exclusive live coverage from the season's opening MotoGP race in Losail, Qatar.

Keith Amor in for Steve Plater

Honda (UK) is pleased to announce that Scottish race ace, Keith Amor, will ride for the HM Plant Honda team at the forthcoming Isle of Man TT, to replace Steve Plater who has been side-lined for the famous annual road race following an unfortunate crash at last week’s North West 200 event, where he sustained a broken arm.

KTM win 9th Dakar Rally

KTM-supported rider Cyril Despres sealed victory in the 2010 Dakar Rally after more than 9000 km across Argentina and Chile. He rode triumphantly into Buenos Aires to complete his third Dakar victory and the ninth consecutive victory for KTM, the Austrian-made sports motorcycles. With this ninth consecutive success KTM remains unbeaten in the most important Rally race since 2001.

Moly to use Avon Tyres for 2010

Avon rubber is once again the tyre of choice for Isle of Man sidecar legend, Dave Molyneux. Last year, Molyneux took his victory tally on the Island to 14, thanks in part to the Avon Tyres on his outfit. This year, it is all changed as Molyneux has a new passenger – Patrick Farrance – and now has Kawasaki power for the coming road-race season. Rossi gets rushed to hospital

Valentino Rossi the 9 time MotoGP World Champion was recently rushed into hospital for emergency treatment due to abdominal pain, spending several hours in San Salvatore Hospital in Pesaro the rider known as The Doctor - as well as The GOAT (greatest of all time) has undergone a number of tests during his stay.

Sofuoglu fit for the season opener

Kenan Sofuoglu has proved his fitness ahead of next weekend’s (26-28 February) opening round of the 2010 World Supersport championship after a two-day test at Phillip Island in Australia. The 2007 champion from Turkey, who finished third in last season’s series, sustained a broken leg in a pre-season training accident last month and was forced to miss the following test at Portimao in Portugal.
