Jennie Gow to replace Suzi Perry for MotoGP

Sports presenter Jennie Gow is today announced as the new presenter of the BBC's MotoGP coverage. She will join the team of Charlie Cox, Steve Parrish and Matt Roberts for the first race of the 2010 season on 11 April with exclusive live coverage from the season's opening MotoGP race in Losail, Qatar.

Dunlop announced as the Ducati 848 tyre

The leading tyre manufacturer agreed a deal with New Era Motorcycle Club and Ducati UK to ensure all bikes racing in the new championship are shod with Dunlop rubber. The series, known as the Ducati 848 Challenge, will be run over eight rounds in 2010, including two televised British Superbike rounds, a round at Misano during World Ducati Week and a long race at Assen during Europe's largest racing festival.

GNS Racing to reveal testing plans

Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport Championship Team GNS Racing will be making a guest appearance at the Portsmouth Motorcycles open weekend next weekend (February 12th to 14th) where fans can come along and meet the riders Sam Lowes and Paul Jordan, on the Saturday and Sunday, plus see the bikes they will be racing in the 2010 championship.
Dakota doesn’t want or expect to be Randy Mamola. Someone already did that. Motorcycle racing continues to produce intriguing stories – not least in the area of family fun and family values. This week a 15 year old who loves school and is fluent in four languages announces that he is joining the community of professional racers – as well as keeping up with his school work, at which he is extremely good.

Nicky Hayden dominates Wrooom event

The 20th edition of the Wrooom Press Ski Meeting concluded today with two spectacular races on the frozen lake in Madonna di Campiglio. The first, in Panda 4x4 cars, was won by Felipe Massa and the Brazilian was joined on the podium by Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden, with Fernando Alonso crossing the line fourth ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella.

Rossi gets rushed to hospital

Valentino Rossi the 9 time MotoGP World Champion was recently rushed into hospital for emergency treatment due to abdominal pain, spending several hours in San Salvatore Hospital in Pesaro the rider known as The Doctor - as well as The GOAT (greatest of all time) has undergone a number of tests during his stay.

Tim Hastings Joins Kawasaki Superstock

Falkirk based rider, Tim Hastings will enter the 2010 season as the second of Kawasaki’s riders as part of their Team Green initiative in the Metzeler Junior Superstock Championship. 17 year old Hastings - or “Twister” as he known throughout the paddock - started his career like many in the modern era via mini-moto racing in his native Scotland gaining the Scottish Championship at the tender age of 12.
