Riding on closed public roads around the 37 ¾ mile course, riders encounter all manner of conditions from overhanging trees, stone walls and even jumps over bridges. Man and machine against the elements, the ultimate test and one which Kawasaki won in 1984 with the very first Ninja, the GPZ900R.

Entered into the production race in its debut year by Plymouth dealership GT Motorcycles, the GPZ900R had only just been launched in America as the Ninja.

California Superbike School Ladies Day

For the first time since the UK arm of the Superbike school opened in 1996, it will offer an exclusively female session for riders looking to experience Level One coaching.

Andy Ibbott UK School Director; "We ran a 'Ladies only' day in South Africa earlier this year, which was hugely successful, and we have had calls for similar here in the UK. Around 10% of students who attend our schools are female, but there are many more out there who would like training but feel intimidated by a track environment with guys out there."

MV Agusta F4CC Claudio Castiglioni

“I decided to put my name to this bike as I originally dreamed of it for myself”. This is how Claudio Castiglioni, the Managing Director referred to the new F4 that now carries his initials “CC”. The boss of MV did what any of us might well have done and gave in to his inner instincts, gave in to the temptation to create a motorbike, not just to meet strategic market needs, but to create something really special, something truly magnificent - just for the sake of it. To create the F4CC project, he obviously utilised everything at his disposal; exclusive materials and the latest technology to attain the utmost in performance.

The figures for the new MV speak for themselves: 315 kph (195 mph) top speed (auto-limited by tyre specification). Unique in its genre, sculptured by his friend Massimo Tamburini, made with luxurious design and high components hidden in the MV closet, right in that corner where the embryo start to develop: the MV AGUSTA racing department.
